How the Survey Was Conducted

This survey was conducted from October 2nd through October 4th, 2001. 1275 residents of New York City were interviewed in proportion to the population in each borough. All interviews were conducted by telephone. The results are statistically significant at ± 3%. 891 registered voters (± 3.5%), 578 registered Democrats (± 4%), and 310 likely Democratic voters (± 5.5%) were identified. The margin of error increases for cross-tabulations.
